PETER O'CONNOR
Sculptor
I was born in Dublin, Ireland but have spent most of my life in Minnesota. I inadvertently avoided becoming rich by pursuing a BFA in sculpture. Since graduating in 2004, I've spent most of my career as a welder/fabricator, and I also enjoyed creating unique-styled fantastical objects made primarily from wood and metal that you could picture in the Cosmere or Game of Thrones universe, with a major influence from HR Gigers biomechanial style.
After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2016, I was forced to stop my woodwork as my illness affected my hands. Instead, I started working with a less dangerous medium called apoxiesculpt. My new creations began with the personification of my MS disease and that spawned a character I named Myl (for the myelin sheathing that MS effects). After making scary work that not even my mother enjoyed, I started on all of Myl's friends and to everyone relief they're a much more fun and friendly gang. These guys have been proper lifesavers and I hope they become even more important to me as I move forward. I hope you like them too!
Characters include Axon the Plentiful, Bunnicula, Jackalope, Daisies (tunnel dwelling xenophobicish plant-like alien creatures), the Garden Defense Force critters, Primordial Fish with Antlers (yep - you read that right!), colorful Spring Daisies, and now their offspring Succulent daisies.
Each 'Friend of Myl' is completely unique in its own horrible, evil, devious, little way... and has been hand sculpted and painted. I'll be updating things more as I make them.

Guarantee: These hand-sculpted creatures are relatively robust, but obviously have some delicate features, such as tails, teeth, tongues, talons or tentacles. So don't be mean to them. That said as long as you haven't pounded one of these little creatures to dust (and if you did, you better have a good story to go along with its destruction), I promise to do repairs on any creature if anything breaks (within reason, see total destruction reference).
I'll just need postage paid but otherwise I'll fix these creatures for 1 year from purchase.
